The season I am talking about is not Christmas time though. In work - & life - you often need to clear out the old to make way for the new. So, I have reduced all my SS12 collection by 15% as I need the space - both physically & mentally - to get on with my next years SS13 collection. Check out the collection here & all the photos here.

I only have enough Chevron fabric for 1 skirt or dress, or 2 pairs of bloomers. I have enough Mixed Apples for 2 dresses & I have 1 dip dye tee, so don't dilly dally if you want something!

I'm so sorry about the lack of blogging on my behalf. I'm sure it's not made a massive impact on anybody's life. I've really been so busy & not had time to think of what to blog about/document what I've been up to or load any of it onto my computer. Last weekend we were working at Camp Bestival, a family festival in Dorset. Dorset is so beautiful & the sun was shining all weekend which made a nice change.

As soon as I got back yesterday I had to make some finishing touches to orders, email people, start some new orders, pack up dresses to be sent yadda yadda yadda. All this is happening as well as trying to create my Autumn Winter 2012 collection in time for release in early September & planning a party we are having this weekend. I mustn't complain though as I know that I have points where I am twiddling my thumbs & complaining I have no work. I love the feeling of being busy. But, it is nice to relax & watch a film when you are truly exhausted (we all watched Ghostbusters in the middle of the day yesterday before I got on with some more sewing).

Anyway, I'd like to say that at the moment, I am loving what I do. Perhaps I thrive on a little bit of stress, does anyone else feel the same? I'm very grateful for all the amazing things I get to take part in during the summer touring with my sister, festivals are such inspiring artistic places. As well as a lot of fun :) Also, it's so nice to really feel like I am starting to get noticed a little bit more, with an increase in blog readers & orders & all that stuff, it's just nice to know that someone reads all the crap I write & do. So thanks for reading! Am I getting a little too gushy now? Sorry.

Ahhhh, I've been so busy this week it has been very nice but I also got a rubbish cold whilst at Latitude which was not so nice. Lots of coughs & sneezes :(

I've been at Latitude over the past weekend & that went pretty great to, so fun to be back on the road. Saw some amazing comedy/theatre/music etc (as well as working very hard obviously) & can't wait for the other festivals.

I have finally got all my little summer collection together & in my Etsy shop.

It was all a bit of a last minute thing, but I've really enjoyed focusing on some key pieces & getting them styled etc. Yesterday was a gloriously sunny day & we went off to Budleigh beach to take some pictures. I roped my gorgeous friend Jess in to do some modelling & I am super happy with the results. All the photos were taken on my old 70s Canon SLR. After the shoot I took the film straight into town & got it developed, I was so relieved with the way they came out, I was dreading the film being loaded wrong or something like that. The photos have such a nice quality to them, I didn't need to do any editing to them as the colours were all vibrant & clear.

For some reason I decided to stay up sewing til 5am last night. Not exactly a wild Saturday night, but I just felt in that mood. I've always enjoyed working in the middle of the night, it's peaceful & I don't get distracted. Also, I always feel that if I'm in the mood for working ridiculous hours I should just go with it, as I probably won't be in the mood to work at all the next day.

I love staying up all night at this time of year as well. Sunrise is magical, & we are nearing to the longest day so it happens at about 4.30, once I get to that point I always think I will just stay up through the next day too but when I started 'resting my eyes' at about 5, the next thing I knew I was waking up at 10.30 in all my clothes under the duvet. Probably for the best, else I would have been Groucho Marks today.

Too late for my little summer collection? Well, the summer seems to have come & gone here in England. It lasted about a week. Never mind, there's hope yet!

I am actually working on an A/W12 collection at the mo & getting that styled, made & out in late August - so this is all a little confusing. I will be releasing about four special limited edition summer items over the month of June. So, here is the first two pieces:
