Getting the blog back up and running with a little bit of life (as that is what has been happening these last two years). These are a few of my film pics from last summer. Many days rolling around on the floor with a newly crawling babe that seems a long way away from the crazy crawling climbing kid that is always currently covered in mud and woollens.

I think my old camera is breaking. It's less reliable and more grainy. Here are some odd pictures from different times by the sea.

Mmmmm... Fish and chips...

This summer we spent a few nights camping in France whilst we traveled to and from the South. We're a bit into our camping kit and it just doesn't get used enough. I had the most wonderful swim in the sea on the North coast and we stayed in a lovely farm campsite which sold their own cider and other produce. We were out of peak season so we pretty much has the place to ourselves, once we settled in and set up camp we went searching for Brocante signs and found some good stuff being sold out of old warehouses and garages.

I miss summer but that happens every year.

I thought I'd lost this film as I opened the back of my camera when it hadn't finished being wound on. Then I just thought I may as well get it developed and it turns out all the pictures are there in tacked, which is nice.

We went to the Netherlands back in April and these photos where taken on a sunny afternoon in Amsterdam. We stopped off for lunch in a pretty little cafe and then had a beer in the park. I fell a bit in love with Nether-Netherlands.

Southend-on-Sea

Wednesday, 28 May 2014

Over Easter we went to Holland but before we set sail we had a few days staying with my sister in sunny Southend. I loved it. The weather was beautiful and it felt so classic and British summer sea side towny. A lot of time was spent collecting shells and beach glass and people watching along the sea front.

With all the beautiful beach huts, long piers and fair ground rides I felt thoroughly inspired, so I'll add it to my never ending list of places I'd like to use for summer photoshoots.

Yessss! It's National Trust season again and we've already stuffed our faces with cream teas at two different places in the same amount of weeks.

/ / Dress - Nadinoo / Cardi - Celtic / Boots - DMs from eBay / Belt - found \ \

One of the things I love since having my own label is being made aware of so many other people creating beautiful handmade clothing. Nadinoo make such gorgeous dresses and I bought one for my Christmas present to myself. I think so much about the cost and work that goes into making clothing and I feel so pleased to be able to save up myself to spend money on items that are made by individuals or small labels where nobody is being screwed over in the process. If you know any other handmade clothing/accessories/homeware (anything!) that you think might interest me do share. I love to snoop at other peoples makings.

I wore this dress a few weeks ago on a sunny winter day in Totnes. Trawling through market stalls and rails of old stuff with a cup of hot milky coffee is my kind of way to spend a Saturday.

Bedroom

Friday, 20 December 2013

Hello hello!

Here are some details from my bedroom. My friendly photographer Beci was helping me take pictures of my room and studio for an up coming project so I thought of share a few with you lovely lot.

I haven't decorated it for about 6 years and it's a tad twee for my liking. I'm not the most tidy person by any stretch of the imagination, so out of shot is sort of just a sea of papers and clothes and bits. Looking forward to redecorating it in the new year and finally getting a bunch of things framed and on the walls.

Things are hectic around here with Christmas around the corner but I'm oh so looking forward to a rest and some proper family time. Nice.

Apple Picking

Thursday, 21 November 2013

Back in October when we were up London way we decided to go and visit my Grandfather for Sunday lunch and to pick apples from his garden. A lovely day spent eating and drinking (I seem to say that a lot... hmm food and booze) and picking as many apples as our arms could carry.

They say that men with sheds live longer. This chap has got 2 and he's 95, so therefore it must be true.
